Terms & Conditions
Expert legal support for consent orders and family financial matters. Clear, fixed-fee help when you need it.

Consent Orders Online is a trading style of Online Legal Services Limited. These terms and conditions apply to the services we provide. They do not affect your statutory rights.
Service and Delivery
After completing the purchase of any of our services, you will be sent an email with instructions on how to access your online case file. You can then access your secure case area to complete the details needed to prepare any application.
We will prepare your consent order typically within 21 working days of receiving your information. All documents are sent to you digitally unless you request hard copies, in which case a charge may apply.
14 Day Refund Policy
You have a 14-day cooling-off period to decide whether you wish to proceed with services supplied directly by us, starting the day after purchase. This complies with The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Certain exemptions apply: if you have activated your account and completed questions within the cooling-off period, we may part-refund you less an administration charge. If we have sent completed documents to you or made a court application, no refund will be payable.
Communication
Please ensure you regularly communicate with us. You must contact us if you have not heard from us within 3 months of any step in the consent order process. If we file a consent order on your behalf and you do not hear from us, do not assume an order has been made.
If your case is between 6 and 12 months old without contact from you, a reactivation charge may apply. If it is over 1 year old, you may need to pay for a full service as we may no longer hold your records.
Court Fees
Court filing fees are payable on all court actions unless you are exempt. For a consent order the fee is currently £60. You may be exempt if you are on low income or benefits. Please ask us for more information. We will refund our fees if we calculate you are eligible for fee remission but the court makes a different decision.
Timescales
All timescales given are based on averages and may change. Your individual case may take longer due to factors outside our control such as court delays, staff absence, or supplier issues. We cannot guarantee any timescale as service delivery depends on factors outside our control.
Consent Orders
This is a legal process requiring skill and due diligence. You proceed on the basis that you have not received legal advice from us on the terms of your settlement. You are strongly advised to seek legal advice on the terms of any settlement. The court has a wide discretion to refuse to grant an order, request more information, or raise questions.
We will draft your order based on the information you provide. You agree to check your drafted order for any omissions or errors upon receipt before filing with the court.
Limitation of Liability
We do not give legal advice regarding your documents or any aspect of your case. We cannot be held liable for any action you undertake in any proceedings, save where we are in breach of contract. Documents must be processed within 6 months of purchase.
